why get certified
Energy performance Certificates for Domestic and Commercial properties.
The requirement for an EPC has been the law since 2008 (2009 in Scotland), meaning that if your home has been let or sold since then it should have one. An EPC is valid for a period of 10 years.
Energy performance certificates (EPCs) show how efficient your home is with energy and estimates what the heating costs will be. A higher rating means less money will need to be spent on energy and therefore affects the value of you home and how attractive it might be to a potential purchaser, if you ever decide to sell.
how it works
Your assessment – It‘s as simple as 1,2,3
An experienced Energywise Scotland EPC specialist will visit your property and assess your insulation, boiler, windows and doors. The assessment takes approximately 1 hour to complete.
The information gathered during the Energy performance assessment process is collated and reviewed. Upon completion you will be given an energy rating from A to G related specifically to you property.
We provide an official Energy Performance certificate and recommendations on how you could improve the energy rating of the property and how we can help you, if required.
what it includes
The energy efficiency certificate will include the following information.
Date of inspection
Date of the certificate and serial number
The total floor area
did you know?
The cost of an EPC assessment and certificate is dependant on the size and location of the property we assess.
